  •  Students:

  • Happy Birthday today to Jessica Barber and Kyler Zumwalt!
  • The following students need to return the calculators that have been borrowed throughout the semester to Ms. S. Davis ASAP:  Hayley Gardner, Candi Boozer, Hunter Mourer (2 calculators), Michael Swift, Eric Beekel, Taylor Hawkins, Colby Rowlett, and Josie McMahan.
  • Any Student Council member planning to help shop for Angel Tree gifts today needs to go by Ms. S. Davis’ room at the beginning of advisory for a brief minute.
  • Tutoring today after school in Ms. S. Davis’ and Ms. Taylor’s rooms, 3:30-4:30.
  • Boys and girls bowling team practice today at 4.
  • No tutoring tomorrow morning. 
  • Art Club members are to bring $5.00 by tomorrow for the Angel Tree gifts.
  • Reminder for students signed up to take the ACT Saturday, December the 8th.   Please bring a calculator, your admission ticket and some form of identification. 
  • Tickets are on sale for the Madrigal dinner, Dec. 14 and 15, $20.00 each.  They may be purchased from the administration building or Ms. Weaver.

  • Student Opportunities:
    The Batesville Optimist Club is sponsoring an Essay Contest for a chance to win cash and scholarships.  The topic for this year’s essay is “How Can I Help my Friends Realize Their Value?”  This contest is open to any student and essays are due to Mrs. Rich by Dec. 20th.
    SENIORS:    THEA Foundation is offering scholarships to seniors who are talented in the visual and performing arts.  Categories are Visual Arts, Creative Writing, Performing Arts, Performance Poetry, and Filmmaking.   GPAs, test scores or intent to major in the arts are not required.  See Mrs. Rich for more information.    SENIORS:  Please complete and return your senior orders to the office as soon as possible.  The Jostens representative will come by in a few days to pick them up.    AR Tech University is sponsoring a Creative Writing Contest for seniors planning to attend ATU.  Submit a poem or small group of poems, a short story, or a piece of dramatic writing before Jan. 15th to enter a chance to win scholarships.  See Mrs. Rich for more information.
